Weighted vs. Overall Score
Updated over a week ago

Within the Hire Success® system, you have the option of assigning more “weight,” or points, to questions that you determine to be more important than others within an aptitude or job skills assessment test.

For instance, let’s say you’re giving applicants a Basic Computer Combination assessment test. You might decide that it’s more important for candidates to have strong knowledge of Word and Excel than of PowerPoint, so you can assign more credit to correct answers on questions about the first two programs.

After candidates take the test, the reports you receive from Hire Success will show both scores – the weighted score (including the extra points) as well as the overall score, so you can see how each person did overall as well as on the questions where you assigned extra points.
